(IN BRIEF) Wood, a global engineering and consulting company, has secured a two-year contract extension with Equinor UK Limited to continue supporting safe and reliable energy production at the Mariner field in the UK North Sea. The extension covers operations, maintenance, modifications, and offshore services for the Mariner A platform and Mariner B floating storage unit. Wood will also provide front-end concept and feasibility studies, detailed design, construction, and commissioning services for future project developments. Equinor will utilize Wood’s digital capabilities to enhance efficiency across Mariner’s operations. The Mariner field is expected to produce over 300 million barrels of oil in the next 30 years.

Under this extension, Wood will continue to provide operations, maintenance, modifications, and offshore services for the Mariner A platform and Mariner B floating storage unit. Moreover, Wood will offer front-end concept and feasibility studies, detailed design, construction, and commissioning services for future project developments at the Mariner field.

Equinor will also leverage Wood’s digital capabilities to optimize efficiency across Mariner’s operations. The Mariner field, situated approximately 150km east of the Shetland Islands in the Northern North Sea, is expected to produce more than 300 million barrels of oil over the next three decades, contributing significantly to reliable energy supply and security.

The contract will be executed by Wood’s teams in Aberdeen and offshore North Sea, reflecting Wood’s commitment to delivering excellence in energy production support.
