Eviden Deploys SkyMon Satellite Spectrum Monitoring System for EETT EOS Monitoring Station in Greece

(IN BRIEF) Eviden has successfully deployed its SkyMon satellite spectrum monitoring solution for the Hellenic Telecommunications and Post Commission, creating the EOS Satellite Monitoring Station dedicated to supervising satellite communication frequencies in Greece. The project, financed through European and national funding, provides an automated radio-frequency monitoring system capable of tracking satellite communications across geostationary orbit and supporting efficient spectrum management. Implemented in partnership with Edil Hellas SA, the station includes specialized antennas, measurement systems, geolocation capabilities and advanced monitoring software supported by independent power infrastructure. The new facility strengthens Greece’s regulatory capabilities while supporting innovation and growth in satellite broadband and electronic communications.

(PRESS RELEASE) PARIS, 26-Feb-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — Eviden, the Atos Group product brand specializing in cybersecurity solutions, mission-critical systems and vision AI technologies, has completed the deployment of its SkyMon satellite spectrum monitoring solution for the Hellenic Telecommunications and Post Commission (EETT). The system forms the core of ΗΩΣ (EOS), a newly established Satellite Monitoring Station designed to supervise and manage the radio-frequency spectrum used in satellite communications across Greece.

The project was awarded to Eviden following an open international tender and was co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund together with national funding. The EOS monitoring station represents a major step forward in Greece’s satellite communications oversight capabilities and is intended to support innovation, research and commercial activities that rely on satellite broadband infrastructure.

As Greece’s national regulatory authority for electronic communications and postal services, EETT oversees the allocation and use of satellite spectrum resources. The new monitoring infrastructure strengthens the authority’s ability to supervise satellite frequency usage and ensure reliable and efficient spectrum management for operators and service providers.

Eviden’s SkyMon platform serves as the central element of the system, delivering an advanced automated radio-frequency monitoring environment capable of observing traffic across satellites in geostationary orbit. The solution provides operators and regulators with tools to continuously monitor satellite-to-ground communications links from a centralized control environment, enabling improved visibility and efficient management of radio-frequency resources.

The monitoring station was implemented in cooperation with Edil Hellas SA, which supported the establishment of the fixed monitoring infrastructure tailored specifically to satellite communications frequency bands. The installation includes reflector-type antennas connected to a dedicated radio-frequency system and advanced measurement equipment, as well as a transmitter geolocation capability for identifying signal sources.

The system also incorporates modern hardware and software components for recording, analysing and storing monitoring data, along with visualization tools and an integrated monitoring and control platform. An independent power supply has been installed to ensure uninterrupted operation and high availability.

The EOS Satellite Monitoring Station enhances Greece’s capability to oversee satellite spectrum usage and supports the continued development of satellite-based communications services.
