(PRESS RELEASE) MARLOW, 6-Feb-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — SAS, an international provider of data and artificial intelligence software, has formalised a two-year Enterprise Agreement Lite with the UK Ministry of Defence (MOD). The arrangement creates a unified commercial framework that covers current commitments and can also be used for any additional work awarded in compliance with public procurement regulations. Through this agreement, SAS becomes part of an expanding network of technology suppliers contributing to Defence priorities.

Under the terms of the agreement, the MOD will be able to draw on SAS’ advanced analytics and AI capabilities to process complex datasets and generate reliable, decision-ready insights. The framework is designed to streamline engagement between the parties while ensuring that future collaborations can be initiated efficiently and in line with established procurement procedures.

Nicky Furlong, Head of Public Sector for SAS EMEA, said that the company’s AI and analytics platform enables organisations to transform large volumes of data into meaningful intelligence at speed. She emphasised that SAS is proud to support the UK Ministry of Defence by providing tools that strengthen data-driven decision-making, enhance operational effectiveness, and improve strategic preparedness. Furlong also noted that SAS intends to continue investing in its UK capabilities and working closely with domestic small and medium-sized enterprises and partners to deepen its engagement across the wider UK public sector.

A spokesperson for Defence Digital Commercial welcomed the establishment of the Enterprise Agreement Lite, describing it as an important step in reinforcing collaboration with SAS. They explained that agreements of this type, delivered through the Defence Tech Scaler programme, give Defence users rapid access to a broad range of innovative technologies and suppliers. This model is intended to accelerate adoption, encourage closer industry cooperation, and ensure that personnel can select appropriate digital tools without unnecessary delay.

The agreement underscores the MOD’s ongoing effort to modernise its digital and analytical capabilities while strengthening relationships with specialist technology providers that can support its evolving operational and strategic needs.
