Beijer Byggmaterial launches 24/7 branch in Gothenburg to enhance service and flexibility for tradespeople

(IN BRIEF) STARK Group has expanded its Swedish operations with the opening of a new 24/7 branch in Hisings Backa, Gothenburg, operated by Beijer Byggmaterial. The 22,000-square-meter branch allows customers to access building materials at all hours, with extended operating times from 05:00 to 23:00 and the option to collect pre-ordered materials within 15 minutes. This new opening strengthens STARK Group’s regional position and offers contractors and tradespeople enhanced flexibility. The branch is the Group’s second 24/7 facility in Sweden, complementing the Stockholm location, and continues the company’s Nordic leadership in round-the-clock service, which began with the first 24/7 branch in Copenhagen in 2014 and has since expanded into Finland and Sweden.

(PRESS RELEASE) FREDERIKSBERG, 3-Oct-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — STARK Group is expanding its Swedish presence with the launch of a new 24/7 branch in Hisings Backa, Gothenburg, operated through its Swedish brand Beijer Byggmaterial. The new branch strengthens the Group’s position in the Gothenburg region while offering round-the-clock service designed to meet the needs of contractors and tradespeople who require maximum flexibility in their daily operations.

Spanning 22,000 square meters, the facility is designed to give customers immediate and convenient access to building materials at all hours. The branch operates with extended hours from 05:00 to 23:00, and pre-ordered materials can be collected within 15 minutes, ensuring that professionals can source what they need quickly and efficiently — whether early in the morning, late at night, or over the weekend. Coupled with Beijer’s central warehouse capabilities, the offering creates a seamless and flexible solution that simplifies everyday work for customers.

“The opening of our 24/7 branch in Gothenburg is an important step in our ambition to stay close to our customers,” said Søren P. Olesen, CEO of STARK Group. “It provides tradespeople and contractors with immediate access to building materials and enhances both flexibility and service across the region.”

The Gothenburg branch is the second 24/7 facility opened by STARK Group in Sweden, following the successful launch in Stockholm. The Group was the first company in the Nordics to pioneer the 24/7 concept in 2014 with a branch in Copenhagen, and has since expanded the model across Finland, where five locations now operate around the clock, and in Sweden, where Stockholm and Gothenburg serve as flagship examples of the concept.
