(PRESS RELEASE) GRAZ, 18-Oct-2024 — /EuropaWire/ — International technology group ANDRITZ has successfully commissioned a new PrimeLineCOMPACT S 1800 tissue machine at Xuan Mai Paper mill in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. This marks the fifth ANDRITZ tissue machine now operating in the country, further solidifying the company’s role as a key supplier to the region’s tissue industry.

Xuan Mai Paper, which has been using its first ANDRITZ machine since 2020, has seen a significant increase in production capacity with this latest installation. The new machine is capable of producing high-quality tissue grades from either 100% virgin pulp or deinked pulp (DIP) with a capacity of 72 admt/d. The machine operates at a design speed of 1,800 m/min and has a width of 2.85 m.

Mr. Pham Van Dung, Vice Chairman of Xuan Mai Paper, praised the seamless startup, saying, “Both ANDRITZ tissue machines have performed exceptionally well from the beginning. This new machine has allowed us to meet rising demand not only in Vietnam but across Southeast Asia, strengthening our partnership with ANDRITZ.”

The tissue machine’s efficiency is enhanced by advanced features such as a one-layer headbox for superior cross-direction profiles, a Polysoft-covered suction press roll for effective dewatering, and the PrimeDry Steel Yankee for high-efficiency drying. The system also includes ANDRITZ’s automation and pump technology, which ensures optimal energy consumption and operational efficiency.
