(PRESS RELEASE) GRAZ, 26-Sep-2024 — /EuropaWire/ — International technology group ANDRITZ has announced a strategic partnership with PulPac AB, a Swedish leader in Dry Molded Fiber technology, to enhance the sustainable packaging market. Dry Molded Fiber is an innovative process that molds cellulose fibers into three-dimensional products, such as coffee lids, cutlery, and food trays, without the need for large amounts of water. These eco-friendly products, made from wood pulp, are biodegradable and recyclable, offering a sustainable alternative to single-use plastics.

This collaboration will combine PulPac’s cutting-edge Dry Molded Fiber technology with ANDRITZ’s extensive experience in turnkey pulp mills, web forming processes, converting, and recycling. As a result, ANDRITZ will now offer complete Dry Molded Fiber production lines, broadening its portfolio of sustainable packaging solutions.

Andreas Lukas, Division Manager of Nonwoven & Textile at ANDRITZ, highlighted the importance of the partnership, stating, “This collaboration allows us to create efficient, eco-friendly solutions for Dry Molded Fiber products, which will help reduce the use of single-use plastics. It aligns perfectly with our commitment to supporting the green transition.”
