Saab Secures SEK 970 Million Order to Enhance CV90 Combat Vehicle’s Targeting Capabilities

(IN BRIEF) Saab has secured an order worth SEK 970 million from BAE Systems Hägglunds to provide sight- and fire control capability for the CV90 combat vehicle. The contract, spanning from 2023 to 2029, involves supplying this capability for CV90s ordered by the Czech Republic in 2023. The work will be carried out in both Sweden and the Czech Republic. This order follows a previous one in May 2023 for Slovakia’s CV90 combat vehicles. Saab’s technology enhances the CV90’s targeting accuracy against ground and air targets, even while the vehicle is in motion.

(PRESS RELEASE) STOCKHOLM, 12-Oct-2023 — /EuropaWire/ — Saab will provide the sight- and fire control capability for the BAE Systems’ CV90 ordered by the Czech Republic earlier in 2023 and will carry out the work in Sweden and the Czech Republic.

In May 2023 Saab received an order from BAE Systems Hägglunds for sight- and fire control capability for Slovakia’s CV90 combat vehicles.

“The new order further underlines our great collaboration with BAE Systems Hägglunds as well as our ability to scale up production,” says Carl-Johan Bergholm, head of Saab’s business area Surveillance.

Saab’s sight- and fire control capability for tanks and combat vehicles provides high hit probability against ground and air targets, regardless of the vehicle’s movements.
