Saab Receives Order from Japan Self-Defense Forces for Carl-Gustaf Multi-Role Weapon System

(IN BRIEF) Saab, the renowned defense and security company, has secured an order from the Japan Self-Defense Forces (JGSDF) for the supply of the versatile man-portable weapon system, Carl-Gustaf®. This order encompasses more than 300 systems, with deliveries scheduled for 2025. Carl-Gustaf is a lightweight and adaptable weapon system known for its tactical flexibility, featuring a wide range of ammunition options. It has been a key component of the Japan Self-Defense Forces’ arsenal since 1979.
