The collaboration brings Stripe’s global payments infrastructure to Lloyds business customers, enabling smaller firms to accept payments more easily across different trading environments. Lloyds Accept is powered by Stripe Connect and is available through Lloyds and Bank of Scotland Business Accounts, with businesses typically able to sign up within minutes.

The new suite of tools has been designed to support small businesses that need simple, fast and adaptable ways to take payments from customers. Lloyds Accept includes Tap to Pay on smartphones, payment links and modern terminal devices for in-person transactions, giving merchants more options depending on how and where they operate.

Through Tap to Pay on iPhone and Tap to Pay on Android, businesses can accept contactless payments using only a smartphone and the Lloyds Accept app. This allows merchants to take payments in a wide range of settings, including customer locations, markets, community events and school events, without needing additional payment hardware. At checkout, customers can complete transactions securely by holding a contactless card or digital wallet near the merchant’s device.
