The Supervisory Board of Royal DSM to propose to the AGM of shareholders to appoint Mr. Dimitri de Vreeze

Heerlen, NL, 3-4-2013 — /europawire.eu/ — The Supervisory Board of Royal DSM is pleased to announce that it will propose to the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders on 3 May 2013 to appoint Mr. Dimitri de Vreeze to the Managing Board of DSM with responsibility for DSM’s Materials Sciences clusters, with effect from 1 September 2013.

Mr. de Vreeze will succeed Mr. Nico Gerardu, who will be retiring from the company after a long and rich career in DSM. Mr. Gerardu was appointed to the Managing Board in 2006, after holding several senior management positions and serving as Business Group Director of DSM Fine Chemicals and later DSM Anti-Infectives.

The members of the Supervisory Board and Mr. Gerardu’s colleagues on the Managing Board would like to express their gratitude and thanks for his leadership throughout his long career with DSM and for his contributions to the organization’s success.

Dimitri de Vreeze (1967), a Dutch national, is at present Business Group Director of DSM Resins. He has built a strong team while delivering real progress in DSM Resins.

Mr. de Vreeze joined DSM in 1990 in Finance in DSM Fine Chemicals. He subsequently moved to sales management and took on increasingly bigger roles, including that of Global Business Manager Sizing & Binders based in Italy. In 2002 he became Business Director Composite Resins Europe, based in Switzerland. Dimitri was Business Unit Director Coating Resins between 2005 and 2007 and Business Unit Director NeoResins between 2007 and 2010.

Mr. de Vreeze studied Business Economics at the University of Groningen and is Postgraduate of the Chartered Controllers Program Maastricht.
