The excellent teaching and high quality student experience at 1994 Group universities confirmed in National Student Survey

15-8-2013 — /EuropaWire/ — The excellent teaching and high quality student experience at 1994 Group universities has been confirmed in the National Student Survey, with the Group’s members achieving an average of 90% student satisfaction—making them the highest performing group of universities in the survey.

1994 Group member, Institute of Education, came top of all the higher education institutions with 97%. The University of Essex and the University of East Anglia—also 1994 Group members—came second with 93% when you exclude small, specialist institutions and FE Colleges.

Alex Bols, Executive Director of the 1994 Group, said: “1994 Group universities pride themselves on providing excellent research-led teaching and high quality student experience. The NSS results show that students value their experience at a 1994 Group institution.

“Our members are world-leading institutions and they can offer students a challenging academic programme with much more besides. They have worked hard to put students at the centre of their institutions and this includes creating a range of extra-curricular activities, building employability skills, investing in facilities and assisting graduates into work.

“The results of the NSS show that these initiatives are working and students at 1994 Group universities enjoy high levels of satisfaction. We will continue to work hard to improve and enhance the experiences we offer students.”
