Thales Canada Transportation Business and Notable Individuals Inducted into NARHF

(IN BRIEF) Thales Canada’s transportation business, along with eight individuals including Kevin Fitzgerald, Jean-Pierre Forestier, Walter Friesen, Mark Halinaty, Abe Kanner, John Mandelli, Jane Ng, and Thales Canada’s transportation business, will be honored at a ceremony in Toronto on November 3 as they are inducted into the North America Railway Hall of Fame (NARHF). During the event, a painting by Thales employee Jane Hoople was unveiled, which will be displayed at the NARHF in St. Thomas, Ontario. The painting aims to preserve and celebrate the heritage of urban rail and recognize the historical contributions of Thales and these notable individuals. Thales has been recognized for its pioneering work in Communications-Based Train Control (CBTC) for mass rail transit applications worldwide. The ceremony included the unveiling of a painting by artist and Thales employee, Jane Hoople, to be on display at the NARHF in the Canada Southern Railway Station in St. Thomas, Ontario. This oil painting was created to recognize, preserve and honour Urban Rail heritage and the historical contribution made by Thales and key individuals.
