Škoda Auto Leads at Prague Pride with Elroq Respectline and 100+ Marchers

(IN BRIEF) As main partner of Prague Pride’s 15th edition, Škoda Auto mobilised over 100 staff and partners to participate in workshops and the parade, featuring the rainbow-themed electric Elroq Respectline on a floating Vltava pontoon. Board Member Karsten Schnake joined the Škoda team at the festival stand to present the brand’s DEI programs. Škoda’s efforts align with the festival’s “Where is my home?” theme and are reflected in its 94% DEI score and Bronze Award from the Pride Business Forum for LGBTQ+ Friendly Employer.

(PRESS RELEASE) MLADÁ BOLESLAV, 6-Aug-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — Škoda Auto demonstrated its steadfast support for diversity and LGBTQ+ rights as the main partner of the 15th Prague Pride Festival (28 July–4 August). Over 100 employees—and members of the Škoda Proud network—joined workshops and the closing parade alongside colleagues from partner organisations 42 Prague, Digiteq Automotive, and Škoda Auto University. Festival attendees admired the electric Škoda Elroq Respectline, a bespoke show car celebrating mutual respect, diversity, and inclusion, showcased all week on a floating pontoon on the Vltava River before joining the parade.

Karsten Schnake, Board Member for Procurement and champion of sustainable development, represented Škoda at the festival stand, where the company highlighted its comprehensive Diversity, Equality & Inclusion (DEI) initiatives alongside select vehicles. The 2025 festival theme, “Where is my home?”, underscored issues of safety, belonging, and acceptance—values Škoda Auto actively fosters through open, fair working conditions.

In June, Škoda’s inclusive culture was honoured with the Pride Business Forum’s Bronze Award for LGBTQ+ Friendly Employer. This accolade complements the company’s above-average DEI score of 94% in the latest independent ESG assessment and its longstanding commitment as a signatory of the European Diversity Charter since 2019.
