Siemens Strengthens Industrial AI Offering Through HighByte DataOps Integration and Intelligence Center X

HighByte Intelligence Hub is now available on the Industrial Edge Marketplace.

(IN BRIEF) Siemens has partnered with HighByte to expand its Industrial Edge ecosystem and help manufacturers scale Industrial AI through better industrial data operations. The collaboration brings together Siemens Industrial Edge, HighByte Intelligence Hub and Siemens Intelligence Center X to create a unified data infrastructure that connects, contextualizes and transforms data from both OT and IT systems. HighByte Intelligence Hub is now available on the Siemens Industrial Edge Marketplace, allowing customers to model, orchestrate, govern and reuse industrial datasets for AI models, agents and applications. The integrated solution connects with PLCs, SCADA systems, industrial protocols and IT sources, while also enabling secure commands from enterprise systems back to shop floor equipment. Vivix Vidros Planos in Brazil is already using the combined Siemens and HighByte technologies to digitalize its production process with 30 industrial applications and build a smart application to protect a $120 million glass furnace. The partnership is positioned as a practical step toward turning fragmented industrial data into standardized, contextualized and AI-ready information for large-scale industrial transformation.

(PRESS RELEASE) ERLANGEN, 4-Jun-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — Siemens is strengthening its Industrial Edge ecosystem through a new collaboration with HighByte, bringing advanced industrial data operations capabilities to manufacturers seeking to scale Industrial AI across production environments.

The partnership combines Siemens Industrial Edge, HighByte Intelligence Hub and Siemens Intelligence Center X into an integrated data infrastructure designed for industrial operations. The solution enables companies to connect data from operational technology and information technology systems, add the necessary context, and make that data available for AI models, agents and applications at enterprise scale.

The Siemens and HighByte partnership empowers customers to seamlessly connect, contextualize and consume industrial data to build AI models, agents and applications at scale.

HighByte Intelligence Hub, a DataOps software platform developed for industrial data modeling, orchestration and governance, is now listed as an official application on the Siemens Industrial Edge Marketplace. Through the integration, customers can use HighByte’s software within Siemens Industrial Edge to prepare and reuse industrial datasets for AI development using Siemens Intelligence Center X.

Rainer Brehm, COO for automation and CTO at Siemens Digital Industries, said the collaboration addresses one of the main obstacles to AI-enabled industrial production: making information from multiple systems accessible, understandable and useful across the business. By combining Siemens Industrial Edge’s OT connectivity with HighByte’s DataOps capabilities and Intelligence Center X, the partnership links shop floor operations more closely with enterprise IT systems.

HighByte Intelligence Hub runs natively on Siemens Industrial Edge, where application and configuration management are handled. The software connects directly with the Industrial Edge Connectivity Suite, giving users access to a broad range of operational data sources, including PLCs, SCADA systems and industrial protocols. HighByte’s DataOps capabilities extend this reach to IT sources, creating a unified data layer across production operations.

A major function of the integrated solution is the ability to transform raw industrial data into structured, contextualized information. Users can apply flexible transformation rules to data from IT and OT systems, add business context, and create datasets that are easier to understand, govern and reuse. These contextualized datasets can then be shared with IT services in a scalable way, with HighByte operating as a Unified Namespace provider to standardize data access across the organization.

The solution also supports secure feedback from IT systems to shop floor equipment. In addition to moving OT data into IT environments, HighByte Intelligence Hub can send commands from IT data sources, such as manufacturing execution systems, back to PLCs through Siemens Industrial Edge’s Connectivity Suite to adjust machine setpoints reliably.

Tony Paine, CEO of HighByte, said manufacturers have faced long-standing challenges with data fragmentation between IT and OT environments. He noted that integrating HighByte Intelligence Hub with Industrial Information Hub on Siemens Industrial Edge gives customers a direct route to standardized and contextualized data, which is essential for building data products and deploying AI at scale through Siemens Intelligence Center X.

The combined solution is already being used by Vivix Vidros Planos, one of Brazil’s leading flat glass manufacturers. The company has deployed Siemens Industrial Edge, HighByte and Intelligence Center X to fully digitalize its core production process through 30 industrial applications. More recently, Vivix developed a smart application designed to predict and prevent degradation of its most valuable asset, a glass furnace worth $120 million, with the goal of improving utilization and extending its economic life.

Aristóteles Terceiro Neto, industrial transformation manager at Vivix Vidros Planos, said HighByte on Siemens Industrial Edge allows the company to feed highly contextualized industrial data into Intelligence Center X. This enables developers to build industrial AI models, agents and applications more quickly and at scale, while requiring less support from a limited group of OT specialists. He added that the solution is helping Vivix accelerate convergence between OT, IT and AI while advancing its industrial agentic transformation.

Neto presented Vivix Vidros Planos’ use of the integrated Siemens and HighByte solution at Siemens’ Realize LIVE Americas 2026 event in Detroit.
