RTL Group: 48,158 physical bearer unregistered shares of RTL Group now cancelled in accordance with the Immobilisation Law

  • Only physical, unregistered bearer shares of RTL Group affected
  • Shareholding structure of RTL Group remains unchanged

Luxembourg, 26-May-2016 — /EuropaWire/ — The Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) of RTL Group, held on 25 May 2016, acknowledged that 48,158 physical bearer shares of RTL Group had not been registered in accordance with the provisions of the law of 28 July 2014 regarding the immobilisation of bearer shares in Luxembourg (“Immobilisation Law”). As previously announced by RTL Group on 16 January 2015 and on 21 January 2016, these unregistered shares were now cancelled in accordance with the Immobilisation Law.

Consequently, the number of shares representing RTL Group’s share capital was reduced to 154,739,396 shares with no par value. Following the cancellation of the unregistered shares, RTL Group’s share capital decreased marginally by €59,706 to €191,840,845.

The shareholding structure of RTL Group is not affected by this process.
