(PRESS RELEASE) ROTTERDAM, 23-Feb-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — KPN has released its 2025 Annual Report, titled The Value of Connection, outlining a year marked by continued digital transformation, strong operational performance, and expanded investments in infrastructure, security, and sustainability. The report, prepared in line with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), highlights progress across all business segments as the company advances its long-term strategy.

During 2025, KPN strengthened the Netherlands’ digital backbone, reaching a significant milestone in fiber deployment. Around 70 percent of Dutch households are now connected to KPN’s fiber network. While the rollout is entering a new phase, the company maintains its objective of achieving approximately 85 percent nationwide fiber coverage by 2030.

On the mobile front, KPN once again secured top recognition for network quality, achieving its highest-ever score in the international umlaut benchmark. Ongoing investments in robust and secure connectivity continue to deliver reliable services designed to meet rising demands for performance and resilience.

Central to KPN’s approach is the modernization and automation of networks and operational processes. The company is increasingly applying data analytics and artificial intelligence to enhance network management, anticipate disruptions, and improve customer experience through faster and more efficient service delivery.

KPN also advanced its infrastructure strategy through the creation of Althio, a new tower company established in partnership with pension fund ABP, designed to provide greater flexibility and scalability. Meanwhile, consumer brands Simyo and Youfone remain key components of KPN’s multi-brand portfolio, supporting broader market reach.

Digital safety remains a core priority. Under its Security First vision, KPN is expanding accessible cybersecurity solutions for households, enterprises, and public-sector organizations, helping users navigate digital environments with confidence.

As part of its updated Connect, Activate & Grow strategy, KPN has sharpened its focus on expanding home connectivity and increasing investments in cybersecurity and digital resilience. Sustainability initiatives also accelerated in 2025, with both fixed and mobile networks powered entirely by renewable electricity sourced from sustainable generation. Through long-term agreements and collaboration with Eneco, as well as investments in its own energy production, KPN is working toward round-the-clock renewable energy usage and continued emissions reductions.

Internally, sustainability efforts include tools such as a dedicated travel app that enables employees to make environmentally conscious transportation choices while tracking the carbon impact of their journeys through an integrated dashboard.

KPN also continued its societal engagement, supporting digital inclusion programs aimed at helping young people and families participate fully in an increasingly connected world. Partnerships with community organizations, including initiatives delivered through the KPN Mooiste Contact Fonds, created opportunities for social connection at national events such as SAIL and helped individuals who might otherwise face barriers to participation.

KPN will present its annual results and strategic progress at the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders scheduled for April 15, 2026. The complete agenda will be published in advance of the meeting, and the Integrated Annual Report 2025 is available online via an interactive platform.
