(PRESS RELEASE) JENA, 13-Jun-2024 — /EuropaWire/ — In a recent development, Prodomax, a member of the Jenoptik Group, has clinched multiple orders totaling over 17 million euros for innovative automation solutions destined for automotive manufacturers. These orders, received during the second quarter of 2024, were awarded by Tier 1 OEM suppliers and predominantly involve the delivery of automated welding systems for steel structural assemblies.
The automation solutions cater to various components such as bumpers, body side assemblies, and body components, notably for a new electric vehicle (EV) platform targeted at the North American market. Scheduled for delivery to customers based in the US and Mexico, the shipments are slated to commence in the second quarter of 2025, with completion expected by the fourth quarter of the same year.
