(PRESS RELEASE) BILBAO, 6-Nov-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — Garanti BBVA has been honored with multiple international awards for its pioneering approach to digital design and user experience, underscoring its leadership in blending technology with human-centered innovation. The bank received two distinctions at the iF Design Awards for its redesigned mobile app and Pulse app, as well as an A Design Award for its customer-focused “My Home, My Car, My Travel” project.

The iF Design Awards, one of the world’s most respected design competitions since 1954, recognized Garanti BBVA’s mobile app in the Brand and Communication Design category and its Pulse app in the User Experience Design category. Meanwhile, the A Design Awards — an international recognition for creativity and functionality — celebrated the bank’s “My Home, My Car, My Travel” initiative for its intuitive and user-first approach to financial management.

The redesigned Garanti BBVA mobile app now serves 17.6 million digital customers, offering a more personalized and seamless experience tailored to individual financial needs. With newly introduced thematic areas such as My Home, My Car, and My Travel, users can manage their finances more efficiently and intuitively, reflecting the bank’s ongoing commitment to accessible, user-centered design.

The internally developed Pulse app, on the other hand, was designed to support Garanti BBVA Technology teams by providing real-time monitoring of the bank’s IT infrastructure. By detecting potential technical issues early, the app helps maintain operational resilience, fosters faster collaboration among teams, and ultimately improves customer satisfaction through uninterrupted service delivery.

Ceren Acer Kezik, Garanti BBVA’s Deputy General Manager, emphasized that technology at the bank is seen as a bridge to simplify customers’ lives: “Our ‘We do it together’ approach reflects our promise to accompany users in every step of their financial journey, creating solutions that are simple, accessible, and personalized. These awards reaffirm our belief that technology and design together can create meaningful impact.”

She also noted that Garanti BBVA’s Radical Client Perspective approach ensures that user feedback is central to the bank’s design process, adding tangible value to customer experiences.

Ilker Kuruöz, Deputy General Manager of Garanti BBVA, added that technology is a key point of connection between the bank and its customers: “We are transforming the traditional perception of technology from something distant and mechanical into a genuine force for improving customer experiences. Our teams combine AI, advanced analytics, cloud solutions, and secure data infrastructures with design-led thinking to make financial lives simpler and richer.”

These recognitions further cement Garanti BBVA’s reputation as a global leader in digital banking, where cutting-edge technology meets empathetic design to create innovative, user-focused financial experiences.
