France Places €24 Million Order for Saab’s Disposable AT4 Anti-Armor Weapon

(IN BRIEF) Saab has received a €24 million order for its anti-armor weapon, the AT4, from the French Armament General Directorate (DGA). The order will be delivered in 2023 and was booked in the fourth quarter of 2022. The AT4 is a lightweight and easy-to-use weapon that can be used against tanks, heavy combat vehicles and to protect fixed installations and supply points. France has previously ordered other versions of the AT4 and it is known as the Roquette NG in France.

(PRESS RELEASE) STOCKHOLM, 26-Jan-2023 — /EuropaWire/ — Saab AB (STO: SAAB-B), leading company in the military defence and civil security markets, has secured a €24 million contract for its anti-armor weapon system, the AT4, from the French Armament General Directorate (DGA). The contract, which was booked in the fourth quarter of 2022, will see deliveries of the weapon system commence in 2023.

The AT4 is a lightweight, disposable and user-friendly weapon system that can effectively engage tanks, heavy combat vehicles and provide protection for fixed installations, supply points, and other vital assets. The AT4 is known as the Roquette NG in the French market.

The contract win is a major achievement for Saab and highlights the effectiveness and reliability of the AT4 in providing a decisive advantage on the battlefield. “We are proud to yet again be chosen to deliver our world class single-shot AT4 system to France. This is not the first time that the French Armed Forces have ordered the AT4. France has previously ordered Saab’s AT4CS ER (Extended Range), the AT4CS HE (High Explosive) and the AT4CS AST (Anti-Structure). The AT4 family is known as the Roquette NG (Nouvelle Génération) in France.

With this contract win, Saab continues to solidify its position as a leading provider of defense and security solutions.
