Electrolux and Veneta Cucine Introduce Human-Centered Kitchen Design Concepts Focused on Color and Wellbeing

(IN BRIEF) Electrolux Group and Veneta Cucine have unveiled a new collaborative kitchen design concept at EuroCucina 2026 in Milan, focusing on the intersection of color, wellbeing, and human-centered design. The partnership introduces four distinct color palettes that blend Scandinavian simplicity with Italian craftsmanship, aiming to create kitchens that are both functional and emotionally engaging. Rooted in neuroaesthetic principles, the designs use natural tones to reduce stress and enhance everyday living experiences. The collaboration emphasizes seamless integration between appliances and interior spaces, reflecting a shift toward more personalized and harmonious home environments. By combining expertise in design, materials, and consumer insight, the two companies aim to redefine the modern kitchen as a space that supports wellbeing, creativity, and lifestyle needs.

(PRESS RELEASE) STOCKHOLM, 21-Apr-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — Electrolux Group, through its premium Electrolux brand, has partnered with Veneta Cucine to introduce a new generation of kitchen design concepts that emphasize emotional wellbeing, aesthetic harmony, and human-centered innovation. The collaboration was unveiled during EuroCucina 2026 in Milan, presenting a fresh perspective on how kitchens can function not only as practical spaces but also as environments that support comfort and personal expression.

At the core of the collaboration are four co-developed color concepts—Alabastro, Verde Salvia, Ultra Blu, and Nude—each designed to bring warmth, clarity, and individuality into modern kitchen spaces. Drawing inspiration from Scandinavian minimalism and Italian craftsmanship, the designs integrate appliances seamlessly into the surrounding environment, creating cohesive and visually balanced interiors.

The initiative is rooted in neuroaesthetic principles, which explore how visual elements such as color influence emotional and cognitive responses. Soft neutrals, earthy tones, and natural hues are used to create calming environments that can reduce sensory overload and promote mental clarity. Research referenced in the project suggests that such biophilic palettes may significantly lower perceived stress levels, reinforcing the connection between design and wellbeing.

Amelia Chong, Principal Color, Material & Finish Designer at Electrolux Group, emphasized that the company’s design philosophy prioritizes meaningful improvements to everyday life. She explained that the collaboration with Veneta Cucine enables a more personalized approach to kitchen design, where color becomes a flexible tool for self-expression rather than a fixed aesthetic standard. By considering the kitchen as an integrated architectural space, the design approach aligns appliances, materials, and finishes into a unified sensory experience.

Daniela Archiutti, Art Director at Veneta Cucine, highlighted the combined strengths of both brands in shaping a forward-looking design direction. She noted that the partnership brings together expertise in color science, material innovation, and sensory design to create kitchens that are both functional and emotionally engaging.

From a commercial perspective, Chris Braam, Head of Commercial Region EMEA at Electrolux Group, underlined the importance of collaboration in strengthening premium brand offerings. He pointed out that the partnership reflects a shared commitment to placing consumer needs at the center of design and product development, resulting in kitchen environments that are both practical and deeply aligned with modern lifestyles.

The new concepts are being showcased at EuroCucina during Milan Design Week, where visitors can experience the integration of color psychology, texture, and spatial design. The installation merges Electrolux’s Scandinavian approach—focused on simplicity, functionality, and clarity—with Veneta Cucine’s emphasis on craftsmanship and material richness, creating kitchen environments that balance purpose with aesthetic refinement.
