Atos Worldline chosen by ING-DiBa to handle its portfolio of more than 1.2 million credit cards for a further five years

Frankfurt, 15-3-2013 — /europawire.eu/ — Atos Worldline, Atos core expertise in hi-tech transactional services, has been chosen by ING-DiBa to handle its portfolio of more than 1.2 million credit cards for a further five years. ING-DiBa, Germany’s third-largest retail bank with 7.5 million customers, is thus continuing its successful cooperation of more than 15 years with Atos Wordline in the credit card business.

Atos Worldline won out over the competition in an extensive benchmarking process. According to ING-DiBa, one of the main reasons for choosing Atos Worldline is the company’s commitment to simplifying and optimizing processes through innovations and end-to-end integration. Atos Worldline developed an extensive concept that would utilize newly-designed interfaces and web interfaces at ING-DiBa to permit substantially more effective control of business processes. New web-based connections to the Atos Worldline system landscape will enable ING-DiBa to improve the efficiency of its internal processes.

Other strengths that ING-Diba values: Constant availability to customers, and being able to seamlessly extend this principle to card processing. High level of Atos Worldline expertise in card business, its ability to swiftly implement bank-specific projects, its fast response times, its highly flexible support service, and its understanding of the fundamental importance of end-customer focus.

“Atos Worldline’s flexibility and innovative drive was impressive during the selection process and throughout our entire previous cooperation. It is important to us that our partner has a precise understanding of our requirements, particularly with regard to efficiency,” says Dirk Kling, responsible for credit card business at ING-DiBa.

“We are delighted that we have been able to enter into long-term cooperation once again with ING-DiBa, one of our fastest growing customers. We attach great importance to a cooperative partnership and mutual involvement in the creative product design process. We are certain that we have established a secure basis that will enable us to continue and further extend the successful cooperation we have enjoyed up to now,” says Thomas Maaß, Director Business Unit Banking at Atos Worldline.

Atos Worldline has been successfully providing card-processing solutions for its customers for many years, and operating them on their behalf. It continually develops new functionalities in response to the current requirements of the market. These innovations include value added services for card owners, such as convenient web-based access to accounts, as well as solutions like risk management and fraud prevention. The Worldline™ card profiler product combines elements from both of these areas and helps card owners to create and manage their own personal profile of card use.

The ING Group relies on Atos Worldline’s services on an international basis. Apart from handling ING-DiBa’s credit card business in Germany, Atos Worldline also operates an online payment platform based on the IDEAL standard on behalf of the Dutch parent company.
