Marcus Claesson Appointed to Kuehne+Nagel Management Board to Lead Global Information Technology

(IN BRIEF) Kuehne+Nagel International AG has appointed Marcus Claesson to its Management Board, effective September 1, 2025, where he will oversee global information technology. Claesson, with over 25 years of IT leadership experience, joins Kuehne+Nagel from Daimler Truck AG, where he has served as CIO since 2019. He succeeds Martin Kolbe, who will retire in October 2025 after 20 years with the company. (PRESS RELEASE) SCHINDELLEGI, 6-Jun-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — The Board of Directors of Kuehne+Nagel International AG has announced the appointment of Marcus Claesson to its Management Board, effective September 1, 2025. Claesson will take on the responsibility for the Group’s global information technology operations, succeeding Martin Kolbe, who will retire on October 1, 2025, after two decades of service on the Kuehne+Nagel Management Board.

A Swedish national born in 1971, Claesson brings over 25 years of international experience in IT leadership roles. Since 2019, he has served as Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Daimler Truck AG, a role based in Stuttgart, Germany, within the DAX-listed company. Prior to that, he led IT Commercial Vehicles at Daimler AG. Claesson’s career also includes a significant tenure at Electrolux, where he joined in 2007 and went on to serve as CIO from 2010 to 2016. Additionally, he was CEO of Electrolux IT Solutions AB during that time. Earlier in his career, he worked at Linde AG, where he held various IT positions between 1997 and 2007. Claesson holds a degree in Computer Science from the University of Borås in Sweden.
