Fresenius Advances Patient-Centered Nutrition Care with New Pediatric Parenteral Nutrition Solution

(IN BRIEF) Fresenius has launched the Pedismof® range in Europe, a new ready-to-use three-chamber bag solution for pediatric parenteral nutrition developed by Fresenius Kabi. The range provides age-specific formulations for preterm and term neonates, infants, children and adolescents, supporting standardized nutrition care for young patients who require intravenous nutritional support. Pedismof combines glucose, balanced amino acids and the lipid emulsion SMOFlipid®, which includes fish oil and omega-3 fatty acids, and has been developed in line with European pediatric nutrition guidelines. The launch is the third product introduction this year in Fresenius’ clinical nutrition business and follows the opening of a new clinical nutrition Innovation Center in Germany, where around 100 experts will collaborate on future product development. The launch supports the company’s #FutureFresenius strategy and its Rejuvenate phase by strengthening its clinical nutrition portfolio, simplifying care and improving access to essential therapies. Availability will vary by country and remains subject to local regulatory approvals.

(PRESS RELEASE) BAD HOMBURG, 9-Jun-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — Fresenius has announced the European launch of the Pedismof® range, a new ready-to-use three-chamber bag solution for pediatric parenteral nutrition. Developed by Fresenius Kabi, the launch strengthens Fresenius’ global clinical nutrition portfolio and supports the company’s focus on patient-centered innovation, simplified care delivery and improved access to essential therapies.

The Pedismof range has been designed to support standardized pediatric parenteral nutrition across different age groups. It includes age-specific formulations for preterm and term neonates, infants, children and adolescents, helping healthcare professionals address the nutritional needs of young patients who require intravenous nutrition support.

The new product range combines glucose, amino acids with a balanced profile and the lipid emulsion SMOFlipid®, which contains fish oil and omega-3 fatty acids. The formulations were developed in line with established European pediatric nutrition guidelines and are available in several volumes to meet the requirements of most patients.

“The Pedismof® range is an example of how our clinical nutrition portfolio continues to evolve to address specific clinical and patient needs,” said Dr. Marc Alexander Mahl, President Pharma, Nutrition and Sustainability at Fresenius Kabi. “With age appropriate formulations and a ready to use design, we aim to support healthcare professionals in the delivery of neonatal and pediatric parenteral nutrition within established clinical frameworks.”

The European introduction of Pedismof represents the third product launch this year within Fresenius’ clinical nutrition business. It also follows the company’s recent opening of a new Innovation Center in Germany on June 2, dedicated specifically to clinical nutrition. The center will bring together approximately 100 experts from multiple disciplines under one roof, supporting closer collaboration and faster development of new products.

The launch also supports Fresenius’ current strategic phase, Rejuvenate, by expanding its clinical nutrition offering and reinforcing its emphasis on scalable, system-relevant therapies that contribute to long-term patient access and differentiated health outcomes.

Availability of the Pedismof range may differ by country and remains subject to local regulatory approvals.
