(PRESS RELEASE) AMSTERDAM, 6-Mar-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — TomTom has announced that Harold Goddijn, co-founder and Chief Executive Officer, will step down from his role as CEO and as a member of the company’s Management Board at the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders scheduled for 16 April 2026. At the same time, the term of Alain De Taeye as a member of the Management Board will also conclude.

Following a structured succession process led by the Supervisory Board, Mike Schoofs, currently Chief Revenue Officer, has been nominated to succeed Goddijn as Chief Executive Officer. After stepping down from his executive role, Goddijn has been nominated to join the Supervisory Board, subject to shareholder approval at the same meeting.

Harold Goddijn co-founded TomTom in 1991 and has led the company as Chief Executive Officer since 2001. Over that period, he guided the organization through significant transformation, helping build TomTom from a startup into a global provider of location technology solutions.

Reflecting on the leadership transition, Goddijn noted that leading TomTom has been a defining experience in his professional life. He highlighted the company’s strong technology foundation, global customer relationships and talented workforce, stating that the transition marks the beginning of a new chapter for the organization. He also expressed confidence that Mike Schoofs is well positioned to guide the company forward due to his deep involvement in shaping TomTom’s commercial strategy.

Mike Schoofs joined TomTom in 2005 and has served as Chief Revenue Officer since 2023. In this role, he has been responsible for building and managing the company’s global sales and commercial organization. His responsibilities have included strengthening strategic partnerships and expanding relationships with customers across key sectors such as automotive, enterprise solutions and platform partners.

Schoofs stated that TomTom has established a distinctive technology platform and strong relationships with its customers. As Chief Executive Officer, he intends to focus on disciplined operational execution while scaling the company’s automotive and enterprise businesses and delivering sustainable long-term value for both customers and shareholders.

Derk Haank, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, acknowledged the contributions of both Harold Goddijn and Alain De Taeye. He noted that over more than three decades they played a central role in building TomTom into a global leader in location technology, guiding the company through several strategic shifts—from consumer navigation devices to automotive partnerships, platform technologies and more recently AI-driven mapping solutions.

Haank emphasized that their leadership has positioned TomTom with a strong technological foundation, a streamlined product portfolio and an experienced management team prepared to lead the company through its next stage of growth. He also welcomed Goddijn’s planned continued involvement with the company through the Supervisory Board.

Following the leadership transition, TomTom’s Management Board will consist of two members: Mike Schoofs as Chief Executive Officer and Taco Titulaer as Chief Financial Officer.

The company noted that the announcement contains information that may be considered inside information under Article 7 of the EU Market Abuse Regulation (Regulation (EU) No. 596/2014).
