(PRESS RELEASE) BASEL / WALLDORF, 15-Jan-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — SAP SE (NYSE: SAP) and Syngenta have entered into a multi-year strategic technology partnership designed to accelerate AI-driven innovation across Syngenta’s global operations. The collaboration places artificial intelligence at the center of Syngenta’s enterprise transformation, supporting a comprehensive modernization of business processes and enabling advanced, data-led innovation across the organization.

Through this partnership, AI-assisted capabilities will be integrated across Syngenta’s end-to-end value chain, spanning manufacturing, supply chain operations, and grower-facing products and services. By embedding advanced analytics and intelligent automation into core systems, Syngenta aims to strengthen operational resilience, improve decision-making speed, and scale innovation across its worldwide footprint.

The agricultural sector continues to face increasing pressure from climate variability, complex supply chains, and global uncertainty. By adopting an AI-first operating model, Syngenta is positioning itself to address these challenges while contributing to the long-term goal of sustainably feeding a global population expected to reach 10 billion by 2050. The initiative is intended to unlock faster innovation cycles, enhance efficiency, and deliver measurable impact across the business.

As part of the transformation, Syngenta will begin by modernizing its core operations using SAP Cloud ERP Private solutions, establishing a more agile, resilient, and scalable enterprise foundation. This modernization is expected to support greater flexibility across the value chain and enable the company to respond more effectively to market volatility and evolving customer needs.

A key component of the partnership is the deployment of SAP Business Data Cloud, which will provide Syngenta with a unified, secure, and scalable data environment. This foundation will enable real-time insights and seamless integration of AI capabilities across the enterprise. Leveraging SAP Business AI, including AI-assisted tools such as the Joule copilot, Syngenta will be able to enhance decision-making, improve operational performance, and accelerate innovation while maintaining strong data governance and privacy controls.

The partnership also aims to enhance Syngenta’s ability to deliver more advanced products and digital services to growers worldwide. By combining AI-driven insights with secure data management, the initiative supports improved collaboration with customers while ensuring that growers retain control over their proprietary information.
