Madrid, España, 24-1-2014 — /EuropaWire/ — La AGENCIA EFE recibió hoy en Madrid un reconocimiento por parte del Ministerio de Turismo y Deporte de Uruguay por contribuir a la promoción y el entendimiento de la cultura de ese país en España.
En un acto celebrado en el marco de la Feria Internacional de Turismo (Fitur), la ministra de Turismo y Deporte de Uruguay, Liliam Kechichián, hizo entrega del galardón a la AGENCIA EFE, que recogió su directora de Internacional, Pilar Pérez Valero.
Además de EFE, fueron reconocidos por el Gobierno uruguayo la aerolínea Air Europa y el grupo Hosteltur.
Durante una breve alocución, Kechichián dijo querer ‘homenajear, dar un abrazo y mostrar el cariño, que es algo bien de los uruguayos’ a los tres premiados.
El galardón consistió en una hoja postal con las efigies de los integrantes de la selección ‘celeste’ en el Mundial de fútbol Sudáfrica 2010, en el que quedó cuarta.
El Ministerio de Turismo y Deporte de Uruguay presentó hoy en Fitur su balance de 2013 y algunas de sus novedades en la estrategia de 2014, que incluye un autobús que recorrerá diez ciudades españolas para permitir que el público español conozca mejor el país suramericano.
La Feria Internacional de Turismo (Fitur) se celebra en Madrid desde el 22 al 26 de enero en el Recinto Ferial Ifema.
