As part of this collaboration, Eviden is providing its external key management (EKM) system to the AWS European Sovereign Cloud. The solution is based on a European sovereign Hardware Security Module (HSM) that functions as a root of trust by keeping encryption master keys outside the cloud environment. The AWS European Sovereign Cloud has been developed as an independently operated cloud infrastructure located entirely within the European Union.
