Europe’s leading online supplier of bike and outdoor products internetstores opens the first brick-and-mortar store for its fahrrad.de brand

Further openings planned in Berlin and Düsseldorf

BERLIN, 04-May-2018 — /EuropaWire/ — internetstores, Europe’s leading online supplier of bike and outdoor products, launches its multichannel strategy and now makes its leading brand, fahrrad.de, available in brick-and-mortar stores. On 11 May 2018, the first stand-alone fahrrad.de store will open at Rotenwaldstrasse 154 in Stuttgart, with around 1,200 m2 of space on two storeys.

“We take the multichannel approach seriously. Whether online or in brick-and-mortar stores, our brands are present, everywhere and any time. Our customers are the focus of everything we do. They decide when and where they want to buy our products. With our shop in Stuttgart, and soon in Berlin and Düsseldorf, we are reinforcing our approach of breaking new ground, setting trends and inspiring bike enthusiasts”, says Kai Ehlers, Director Multichannel at internetstores.

The new store in Stuttgart leaves nothing to be desired for bicycle fans. Whether you are an everyday expert, a touring fan, an off-road enthusiast, a beginning biker or a speed junkie, the product offerings cover the entire family’s needs, with a full range of bikes and accessories. The company’s own brands, such as VOTEC and Ortler, are available in addition to a wide range of other brands, such as Cube, Kalkhoff and s’cool. The centrepiece is a wide range of e-bike models that can be tested on-site – just like any other bike – up close and outdoors.

Another key area of the store is the Service Point, a large workshop area with repair facilities for customer bicycles and many workshop services, such as cleaning, accessory installation and tire changing. Customers can also take advantage of individual adjustment services for their current and new bicycles. Also available are special services, such as seat bone measurement, software updates for e-bikes and wheel alignment.

Using terminals in the store, customers can also order any of the approximately 35,000 fahrrad.de products and have the bike, accessory or item of clothing they want delivered directly to their home or business. Specialist staff advise each customer individually so everyone can find the right bike and equipment for their own purposes, biking style and budget.
