(PRESS RELEASE) DARMSTADT, 4-Feb-2019 — /EuropaWire/ — The ENTEGA Medianet to install super-fast fiber optic cables for the apartments in Darmstadt’s Lincoln housing estate. The technology will provide much higher bandwidths than a copper cable supply. With the fiber connections data transfers of up to 300 Mbit / s are possible and the residents of the former barracks area can, for example, download three times faster.

ENTEGA Medianet will connect 16 residential units and two properties in the Haardtring with to the fiber optic network. A total of around 30 kilometers of fiber optic cable will be laid to the houses and into the apartments (Fiber to the Home). In addition, ENTEGA Medianet will provide housing units with digital television and analogue radio services. Furthermore, ENTEGA Medianet and ENTEGA Energie can supply the new owners and tenants with Internet, telephony and electricity as well as other multimedia services.

ENTEGA Medianet, together with companies in the real estate sector, intends to realize further fiber optic connections in residential areas.
