(PRESS RELEASE) PARIS, 3-Jul-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — Atos, a global leader in digital transformation, together with data-center design specialist APL Data Center, has been selected by UGAP—the French public procurement agency—to deliver “Consulting and Project Management Assistance for Computer Rooms.” This three-year framework, extendable twice for six-month periods, equips public-sector IT teams with expert audits, studies, and hands-on support to boost computer-room and data-center performance while curbing energy use and operating costs.

As modern IT environments grow more complex and demand uninterrupted service, Atos and APL Data Center will guide local authorities, hospitals, and academia through every phase of computer-room planning and optimization. Their combined expertise helps organizations right-size infrastructure, adopt sustainable technologies, and streamline operations—avoiding both overcapacity and inefficiency.

Enhanced with dedicated project-management support units, the UGAP contract tailors solutions for small to medium-scale facilities nationwide, including France’s overseas departments and territories. Services range from energy-performance audits and greenhouse-gas assessments to designing and implementing efficiency upgrades.

“Through this contract, we address the public sector’s four core priorities: digital sobriety, infrastructure performance, reliability and security, and risk management,” said Laurent Laffere, Director of Public Sector and Defense Markets at Atos France. “We’re honored to contribute our technological and advisory strengths to UGAP’s mission.”

Tristan Richard, Managing Director of APL Data Center, added: “This contract renewal underlines our dedication to public institutions. Together with Atos, we’ll help clients navigate digitalization challenges—enhancing performance and reducing IT’s environmental footprint across the country.”

Alexandra Bastien, IT and Telecom Product Manager at UGAP, remarked: “These new services will empower IT departments and computer-room operators to optimize, redesign, and fortify their server facilities while embracing a responsible digital strategy.”
