(PRESS RELEASE) PARIS/BRUSSELS, 27-Nov-2024 — /EuropaWire/ — Atos, a global leader in digital transformation, high-performance computing, and IT infrastructure, is pleased to announce the extension of its contract with EUROCONTROL to continue providing 24/7 Mission-Critical Infrastructure and Cybersecurity Monitoring Services for European airspace management and aviation operations.

EUROCONTROL, a pan-European civil-military organization, plays a crucial role in optimizing aviation efficiency across Europe while minimizing environmental impact. The organization’s responsibilities range from operational service provision and research to developing future aviation concepts and coordinating Europe-wide projects.

With over 10 years of collaboration, Atos has earned a trusted partnership with EUROCONTROL. The extension of this contract underscores the strong relationship and mutual trust between the two organizations, highlighting Atos’ expertise in managing critical infrastructure and security for EUROCONTROL’s most sensitive operations.

The contract also paves the way for the integration of emerging cloud technologies, with the inclusion of the first multi-region public cloud solution for Air Traffic Management (ATM) applications, fully accredited by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).

Eviden, a division of Atos Group, will bring its vast experience in digital transformation and cybersecurity to the project, providing proactive monitoring using AI-enabled security products for EUROCONTROL’s critical assets. This collaboration will support EUROCONTROL’s iNM programme, which aims to modernize application assets in preparation for future growth in European aviation traffic.
