Animal rescue hero loses his heroic battle with cancer

Tony the Dog Father Animal Rescue Hero

MANAMA, Bahrain, 21-Apr-2018 — /EuropaWire/ — In a statement from his children they said:

“It is with great sorrow that we announce that our father, Tony Waters AKA “The Dogfather” died today, 20th of April 2018, after a long battle with cancer. As our dad would have preferred us to say, finally kicked the bucket!

Tony moved to Bahrain from England in 1985 and from around 1998 developed a passion for animals, especially those that deserved a second chance. Since then he’s been running the Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre in Saar, Bahrain.

The creation, development and success of the center stands as testament to his self-less love and devotion to the animal community of Bahrain and was his greatest motivation to fight until the bitter end.

We would like to give tremendous thanks to all the generous donors, volunteers and all those who have personally helped him with his brave battle over the many years since he was first diagnosed.

As per Tony’s wishes the Center will continue to carry out his legacy and dreams under careful guidance.

Therefore, It is more important than ever that our donors and volunteers remain steadfast and strong in the wake of Tony’s death and continue to support the centre.

Ben, Sarah and Yaqoob”

If you would like to make a donation to the centre or drop food for the animals, you can drop food directly to the center in Sar, Bahrain or donate at http://www.tonythedogfather.com/donate/
