ABL appoints naval architect Richard Grant as Singapore Country Manager to accelerate offshore growth and client value

A naval architect with more than 15 years’ experience, Grant joined ABL in 2011 and has worked across the UK, Australia, the USA and Singapore, where he has led offshore growth as Offshore Manager. He has overseen complex MWS and engineering consultancy projects across Asia Pacific and brings expertise in casualty response and loss prevention. Bringing more than 15 years of offshore and marine consultancy experience, Richard blends deep technical know‑how with proven leadership. Since joining ABL in 2011, he has taken on a spectrum of roles across the UK, Australia, the USA and, since 2017, Singapore.

In Singapore, Richard has been pivotal to the expansion of ABL’s offshore service line. Most recently as Offshore Manager, he steered the successful delivery of complex marine warranty survey (MWS) and engineering consultancy assignments, helping clients across Asia Pacific de-risk and optimise offshore operations. With a foundation in naval architecture, he also offers specialist capability in maritime casualty response and loss prevention—pairing sharp technical insight with hands-on operational execution.
