(PRESS RELEASE) LEINFELDEN-ECHTERDINGEN/ KAWASAKI, 4-Nov-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — Hino Motors, Ltd. and Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation, in partnership with Daimler Truck AG and Toyota Motor Corporation, have unveiled the designated management structure for the forthcoming ARCHION Group — a strategic alliance that officially begins operations on April 1, 2026. The leadership appointments demonstrate the partners’ shared commitment to strong corporate governance, long-term value creation, and the strategic integration of expertise from both founding companies.

At the heart of ARCHION’s mission, “Delivering the Future of Commercial Mobility,” is a governance framework designed for transparency, accountability, and synergy. The new Board of Directors will include nine members — five previously announced and four independent outside directors. This balanced composition underscores ARCHION’s dedication to high-integrity leadership and diverse oversight across its global operations.

The independent outside directors were selected for their deep corporate management experience and specialized expertise in governance, legal affairs, finance, and accounting. Their presence aims to ensure rigorous strategic guidance and effective risk management as ARCHION moves toward its operational launch.

The executive leadership team (CxOs) features industry veterans from both Daimler Truck and Toyota ecosystems, each chosen to maximize cross-company strengths and foster a unified corporate culture. The leadership structure will guide key operational functions while advancing innovation and efficiency throughout the organization.

Karl Deppen, currently President and CEO of Mitsubishi Fuso and member of the Boards of Management of Daimler Truck Holding AG and Daimler Truck AG, will serve as Representative Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of ARCHION. Hetal Laligi, Vice President and CFO at Mitsubishi Fuso, will assume the role of Representative Director and Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Satoshi Ogiso, President and CEO of Hino Motors, will serve as Director and Chief Technology Officer (CTO).

Additional appointments include:

  • Chief Administrative Officer (CAdO): Manabu Koshimizu, General Manager, Corporate Planning Division, Hino Motors
  • Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO): Leina Kawachi, Head of Human Resources, Mitsubishi Fuso
  • Chief Compliance Officer (CCO): Norio Yoshida, Operating Officer, Internal Audit, Hino Motors
  • Chief Digital Officer (CDO): Kyotaro Hagiwara, Chief Digital Officer, Hino Motors

To further strengthen leadership continuity and global operational excellence, Satyakam Arya, currently CEO of Daimler India Commercial Vehicles, will become President and CEO of Hino Motors, while Franziska Cusumano, Head of Mercedes-Benz Special Trucks & Custom Tailored Trucks at Daimler Truck AG, will take on the role of President and CEO of Mitsubishi Fuso.

ARCHION’s management design reflects an emphasis on diversity, inclusivity, and cross-cultural collaboration, ensuring that its leadership mirrors the global and multifaceted nature of its customer base. The appointments will take effect with the group’s official launch, subject to approval by the respective boards, shareholders, and relevant authorities.

With its carefully constructed leadership framework, ARCHION is positioned to accelerate innovation, operational excellence, and sustainable mobility across international markets — leveraging the combined legacy and technological strengths of Daimler Truck, Toyota, Hino, and Mitsubishi Fuso.
