Lindner Clean Rooms Secures Follow-Up Order for Expansion of RAUMEDIC’s Cleanroom Facilities

(IN BRIEF) Lindner Clean Rooms, a specialist in cleanroom solutions, has secured a follow-up order from RAUMEDIC AG, a global developer and manufacturer for the medical technology and pharmaceutical industries. RAUMEDIC is expanding its cleanroom facilities in its Helmbrechts headquarters from 6,000 m² to 12,000 m² due to steady growth. Lindner Clean Rooms had previously worked with RAUMEDIC on cleanroom projects in 2004, 2014, and 2015. The expansion includes ISO 7 classified production areas with cleanroom ceilings, walls, and doors, providing a clean and flexible environment for medical product manufacturing.

Partner for Medicine and Pharmaceuticals

RAUMEDIC AG is a globally active development partner and manufacturer for the medical technology and pharmaceutical industries: The company produces and sells polymer and silicone-based solutions for customer-specific applications as well as products for intensive care. This includes a wide range of products, including tubing, precision moulded parts, catheters, assemblies and systems. With five administrative and production sites around the world, RAUMEDIC has around 10,000 m² of cleanroom space. A large part of this is located at the headquarters in Helmbrechts: Here, the area will be expanded from the current 6,000 m² to a full 12,000 m².

Growth through Innovation

A few years ago, the Helmbrechts site was much smaller. However, steady growth prompted the company even then to expand the existing capacities at its headquarters. A NEW BUILDING offered enough space for 200 employees to meet the requirements of the working environment at that time. The expansion created modern areas for production under cleanroom conditions, laboratories, logistics and administration. LINDNER CLEAN ROOMS was responsible for numerous fit-out services in the ISO 7 classified production areas: Cleanroom ceilings in the form of walkable Line 100S Type 2 steel grid ceilings with integrated LED recessed luminaires and Clip K3 clip-in cassette ceilings provide a clean finish as well as the necessary flexibility. Depending on requirements, the cleanroom walls of the Multiclean LVT type are designed as metal-planked solid walls, as floor-to-ceiling glass walls or with spandrel glazing – in some cases also as extra-wide double stud walls. Various cleanroom doors, including fire doors and fast-opening doors, provide access to the cleanrooms via corresponding airlock systems.

Space Resources in Short Supply Again

In the current project, RAUMEDIC is again relying on the proven solutions from Lindner that were already used in the last building. The new cleanroom areas are once again fitted with cleanroom ceilings in the versions of walkable steel grid ceiling Line 100S type 2 and Clip K3 clip-in cassette ceiling. The LED recessed lights, revolving doors and the double-shell cleanroom walls of the Multiclean LVT type also come from Lindner Clean Rooms.
