Under this contract, Wood will play a crucial role in the first phase of the Associated Gas Upstream Project, a key component of the Gas Growth Integrated Project (GGIP) in Southern Iraq. This project aims to recover gas that is currently being flared in the Basra region to supply power generation plants. Additionally, it involves the construction of a seawater treatment unit and a 1GW solar power plant.
