ADISA appoints VP for the Americas

The Asset Disposal & Information Security Alliance (ADISA) continues international expansion by announcing the appointment of Jeffrey Dean to head up all ADISA operations in The Americas

LONDON, 01-Apr-2016 — /EuropaWire/ — In recognition of continued expansion of its industry certification programme, ADISA are pleased to announce the appointment of Jeffrey Dean to head up its expansion throughout the United States.

Based from a new Houston office, Jeffrey Dean will be responsible for continuing to introduce the ADISA Certification programme into the US and other regional markets. The certification scheme is for those organisations operating in the high end of the asset recovery and data sanitisation industry. With members already throughout Europe and organisations joining in Asia Pac, the ADISA scheme has a small footprint in the US market and this appointment reflects an appetite to address that.

Jeff is a former United States Marine Corps Counterintelligence / Technical Surveillance Countermeasures Officer with over 30-years of experience in providing physical security, investigation services and risk management programs to the Department of Defence, Department of Energy and international private companies. He spent fifteen of those years developing and implementing measures to mitigate identified risks that ensured the secure transportation, receipt, processing and storage of high technology and end-of-life business electronics. He has a proven record of uncovering and investigating instances of theft, fraud and missing data bearing assets resulting in significant recoveries and system and procedural enhancements.

ADISA CEO, Steve Mellings, picks up the story, “Having Jeff join the team is a really exciting addition to ADISA and we are very pleased to welcome him. Jeff’s experience and expertise will be vital to ADISA as we continue to expand throughout the USA.”

Mellings continues “Jeff has been known to me for a few years now and I’ve had the pleasure of speaking alongside him at several events and I’m extremely pleased to appoint him as VP ADISA The Americas. ADISA has grown rapidly over the past 4 years and has not only expanded into Europe but also into the USA”.

Jeffrey Dean adds “The opportunity to join ADISA is something I’ve jumped at, I firmly believe that the US market needs such a rigorously audited and maintained programme for organisations to put their trust in. Data Security is a rapidly remerging market and ADISA can help resolve one important and overlooked area which is the end of life disposition”.

ADISA are speaking at the Microsoft Authorised Refurbisher Summit in New York in April and again at IAITAM in New Orleans in May.
