(IN BRIEF) Skyroot Aerospace has deployed Siemens Xcelerator’s Polarion solution to integrate its software and systems engineering processes, enhancing traceability, compliance, and collaboration among its 500-strong team as it scales toward commercial orbital launches with Vikram-1. Skyroot, the first Indian private company whose Vikram-S rocket reached space in 2022, will leverage Polarion’s lifecycle-management tools to streamline development of its carbon-composite structures and 3D-printed engines. Siemens will support Skyroot’s goal to make spaceflight more accessible and cost-effective.

(PRESS RELEASE) PLANO, TX, United States, 6-Aug-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — Siemens Digital Industries Software today announced that Skyroot Aerospace, India’s premier private launch-service provider, has implemented Polarion™ from the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio to unify and optimize its software and systems development lifecycle. Headquartered in Hyderabad and staffed by over 500 specialists, Skyroot—founded in 2018 by Pawan Kumar Chandana and Naga Bharath Daka—made history in 2022 when its Vikram-S rocket became the nation’s first privately developed vehicle to reach space. As Skyroot gears up for commercial orbital launches with Vikram-1, it has adopted Polarion to bolster traceability, compliance, and cross-team collaboration and to streamline end-to-end lifecycle management across its carbon-composite and 3D-printed engine programs.

“As a rapidly scaling aerospace company serving a global customer base, we needed a cohesive solution to manage complex software workflows,” said Naga Bharath Daka, Co-founder & COO of Skyroot Aerospace. “Polarion lets our engineers focus on innovation, while Siemens brings deep aerospace expertise and a trusted partnership.”

Mathew Thomas, Vice President and Managing Director for India at Siemens Digital Industries Software, added: “Skyroot’s adoption of Polarion marks a pivotal step in its digital transformation. We are proud that India’s leading private space pioneer has chosen Siemens to support its mission of delivering affordable, on-demand launch services worldwide.”
