(IN BRIEF) Rheinmetall has been contracted to supply 155 mm and 105 mm artillery ammunition worth around €444 million to an Eastern European customer, working as a subcontractor to Global Military Products on behalf of the U.S. government. Rheinmetall Expal Munitions will deliver 155 mm M107 projectiles with M4A2 propellant charges and 105 mm M1 projectiles, with shipments scheduled between 2026 and June 2027. The deal reflects Rheinmetall’s expertise and capacity in large-calibre ammunition production, which the company has been expanding since 2022. By 2027, Rheinmetall aims to reach an annual production capacity of 1.5 million 155 mm shells. (PRESS RELEASE) DÜSSELDORF, 29-Sep-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — Rheinmetall has secured a major ammunition contract from an Eastern European customer, acting as a subcontractor to Global Military Products, a U.S. government–commissioned company. Through its subsidiary Rheinmetall Expal Munitions, the German technology group will deliver a large volume of artillery ammunition, including 155 mm M107 projectiles with M4A2 propellant charges as well as 105 mm M1 projectiles. The agreement has a total value of approximately €444 million. Of this amount, €170 million was previously registered as a pre-order, with the remaining €274 million now confirmed as new business. Deliveries are expected to begin in 2026 and conclude by June 2027.

This contract highlights Rheinmetall’s established reputation and growing capacity in the field of large-calibre ammunition production.
