(PRESS RELEASE) DÜSSELDORF, 18-Nov-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — Rheinmetall successfully demonstrated the advanced capabilities of its Mission Master unmanned system and other core solutions at NATO’s flagship exercises REPMUS (Robotic Experimentation and Prototyping with Maritime Unmanned Systems) and DYMS (Dynamic Messenger) 2025, held in Troia and Sesimbra, Portugal. Organized by the Portuguese Navy in close coordination with NATO and the European Defense Agency, the exercise brought together allied forces, academia, and industry leaders to test and validate innovative unmanned systems across domains.

This year’s REPMUS/DYMS marked a significant opportunity for Rheinmetall to prove the operational readiness and interoperability of its unmanned platforms in realistic mission scenarios. Central to the company’s demonstration was the versatile Mission Master SP2 A-UGV (Autonomous Unmanned Ground Vehicle), which showcased its ability to navigate autonomously, integrate modular payloads, and maintain robust performance in challenging coastal environments. Paired with maritime sensors, the vehicle supported reconnaissance, surveillance, and logistical tasks under harsh conditions.

Beyond the Mission Master, Rheinmetall also presented its 360-degree layered defense concept, developed collaboratively with NATO partners to support expeditionary harbor security, coastal defense, and multi-domain manned-unmanned operations. Key technologies on display included the PATH Autonomous Kit, Q-UGV LASSy, and platforms from EvoLogics, North.io, and Euroatlas. These systems were seamlessly connected using Battlesuite, Rheinmetall’s shared information environment that enables data interoperability and swift deployment of mission-ready capabilities.

Rheinmetall demonstrated strong competence in integrating their solutions with NATO-standard architectures, incorporating secure data-sharing, STANAG-compliant interfaces, and advanced autonomous control systems. This integration underscores the company’s commitment to enhancing real-time data processing, mission planning, and operator-in-the-loop engagement across land, air, and maritime operations.
