Outokumpu Announces Leadership Transition: Kati ter Horst to Assume Role of President and CEO

In preparation for her new role, ter Horst has stepped down from her position as a member and vice chairman of Outokumpu’s board of directors, effective immediately upon her appointment.

With ter Horst’s departure from the board, Outokumpu’s board will temporarily operate with seven members until a new vice chairman is elected at the company’s next annual general meeting in 2025.

This leadership change follows the decision of current President and CEO Heikki Malinen to step down from his role on September 30, 2024. The company had previously announced ter Horst’s upcoming appointment as CEO on July 9, 2024, signaling a strategic leadership transition for Outokumpu.
