Delivery Hero Expands Rider-Friendly Last Stop Feature for Greater Control and Convenience

(IN BRIEF) Delivery Hero has launched its new “Last Stop” feature, giving riders the ability to choose the location of their final delivery to better align with their schedules. Already active for foodpanda riders in Hong Kong, Pakistan and Taiwan, and for foodora riders in Finland, Norway and Hungary, the feature is being rolled out globally. Developed at Delivery Hero’s Berlin headquarters, the system allows riders to set a preferred last stop by dropping a pin in the app, with the algorithm matching their last order as close as possible—often within two kilometres. The update responds directly to rider feedback and has been met with strong enthusiasm, with riders praising its ability to reduce stress, save fuel and time, and enable them to end shifts near home or other chosen destinations.

(PRESS RELEASE) BERLIN, 15-Aog-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — Delivery Hero, recognised globally as the leading local delivery platform, has unveiled a new rider-focused feature designed to give delivery partners greater control over the way they finish their workday. The “Last Stop” option enables riders to choose the location where they wish to complete their final delivery, making it easier to wrap up their session in a way that suits their personal schedule.

The feature, developed by Delivery Hero’s product engineering team at the company’s Berlin headquarters, has already gone live for foodpanda riders in Hong Kong, Pakistan and Taiwan, and for foodora riders in Finland, Norway and Hungary. A broader launch across the company’s remaining brands and markets is already in motion.

Senior Product Director Anastasiia Kokhanova explained that the idea originated from repeated rider requests to avoid ending their shifts far from their preferred locations. “With this new feature, riders can plan their day with more flexibility and autonomy. The feedback so far has been overwhelmingly positive, and we’re excited to bring this innovation to all our markets,” she noted.

The implementation process is simple: when logging into the rider app, delivery partners can drop a pin on their desired final stop. The system’s smart algorithm then prioritises orders that finish as close as possible to that spot—typically within two kilometres in most cases—helping riders end their sessions conveniently and efficiently.

Early reactions in Hungary have been particularly encouraging. Gergely M., a local rider, described the Last Stop as a game changer: “It takes away the stress of ending my day far from home. I save fuel, conserve energy, and can even accept more orders towards the end of my session, knowing I’ll be close to where I want to be.” With a smooth balance of work and personal convenience, the feature is set to redefine the way riders close out their shifts.
