The project will enhance the performance of approximately half of ContourGlobal’s Italian solar portfolio, aligning with the company’s sustainability goals. AFRY will oversee the project by reviewing documentation, supervising construction, and ensuring smooth commissioning of the upgraded plants.

(PRESS RELEASE) SOLNA, 10-Sep-2024 — /EuropaWire/ — In a major push to enhance the efficiency of its solar operations in Italy, ContourGlobal has partnered with AFRY to provide engineering services for the rehabilitation and repowering of 35 photovoltaic (PV) plants. This initiative aims to upgrade approximately half of ContourGlobal’s solar portfolio in Italy, which spans nine regions and has a total installed capacity of 60 MW.

AFRY, a global engineering and consulting firm with extensive experience in the solar sector, was selected as the Owner’s Engineer for this project. The company will oversee a wide range of tasks, including reviewing project documentation, conducting site inspections, and supervising construction and commissioning processes to ensure the successful upgrade of these solar facilities.
