Alfa Laval Launches Innovative Heat Solutions to Power Sustainable Cities at Chillventa 2024

(IN BRIEF) Alfa Laval will introduce its latest energy-efficient heat exchangers for heat pumps at Chillventa 2024, aimed at supporting sustainable cities. These innovations, including the largest-capacity ammonia heat pump condenser and the SE range of brazed heat exchangers, focus on maximizing waste heat recovery and using natural refrigerants. Designed to help cities reduce carbon emissions and energy consumption, the new solutions will play a critical role in advancing urban sustainability and achieving net-zero targets.

(PRESS RELEASE) LUND, 14-Sep-2024 — /EuropaWire/ — Alfa Laval, a global leader in heat transfer technology, is set to unveil its latest energy-efficient plate heat exchangers for industrial, commercial, and residential heat pumps at Chillventa 2024 in Nürnberg, Germany, from October 8-10. The innovations aim to support sustainable urban development by improving energy efficiency, a crucial step toward achieving net-zero goals in cities, which account for two-thirds of global energy use and 70% of carbon emissions.

The new solutions, including the largest-capacity ammonia heat pump condenser and the SE range of brazed heat exchangers, are designed to harness waste heat and use natural refrigerants, making them environmentally friendly and highly efficient. These systems will help recover waste heat from sources such as wastewater, seawater, and industrial processes, contributing to reduced carbon footprints in urban areas.

Alfa Laval executives will present the technology at Chillventa, where they will highlight how these innovations are key to advancing sustainable energy solutions for cities worldwide.
