Skanska to build four new school buildings in Harrison, OH, USA

STOCKHOLM, 15-Nov-2018 — /EuropaWire/ — Skanska has signed a contract with Southwest Local School District and the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission to build four new school buildings in Harrison, OH, USA. Skanska, leading a joint venture with Megen Construction Company, Inc., will include its 70 percent share of the contract, totaling USD 54 M, about SEK 495 M, in the US order bookings for the fourth quarter 2018.

The total contract being split is worth USD 75 M.

This 34,000-square meter building program involves replacing five existing schools with three new elementary schools and one new middle school. The new schools are designed to be LEED Silver certified.

Construction will begin in June 2019, and the project is expected to be complete in September 2021.
