- Six new Roland Berger Partners in Germany and France
- Seven Partners in China, Germany, Italy, Canada and Singapore move up to senior level
Munich/Barcelona, 7-12-2015 — /EuropaWire/ — At their regular meeting in Barcelona, Roland Berger’s 220 international Partners elected six new Partners in Germany and France. Seven Partners were also promoted to Senior Partner level.
“In the past 12 months we have brought 60 new Partners onboard, experienced people with industry and consulting expertise, some of them returning to us from other senior roles,” said Charles-Edouard Bouée, CEO of Roland Berger. “More have joined their number today. This serves to reinforce Roland Berger’s presence and strengthen our client offering even further.”
The new Roland Berger Partners
Carsten Becker joined Roland Berger in 2000 and is now a Partner in the Engineered Products & High Tech Competence Center in Munich. The focus of his consulting expertise incorporates continuous improvement, operational excellence and transformation, process and production optimization as well as Industry 4.0. He advises clients in a range of industry sectors, such as engineering, automotive, financial services and energy. Carsten Becker studied business administration at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (Germany).
Gaëlle de la Fosse is a Partner in Roland Berger’s Paris office. She has been advising clients in the consumer goods and retail sector since 2009, covering a wide range of issues: growth strategy, international expansion, brand positioning, operational efficiency and due diligence. She has conducted many international growth projects, from strategic analysis to implementation, with leading consumer goods and retail players. Before joining Roland Berger, Gaëlle de la Fosse worked at another international consulting firm. She holds a degree from the Institut d’Études Politiques de Paris and from the École des Hautes Études Commerciales (HEC Paris).
Carolin Griese-Michels is a Partner in the Chemicals and Pharma Competence Center at Roland Berger in Hamburg. Having joined the company in 2001, she advises international clients from the energy and chemicals sectors, primarily on marketing and sales matters. These include key issues like digitization in the chemicals industry, diversity and inclusion, and corporate sustainability. Carolin Griese-Michels studied law at the University of Göttingen (Germany) and at Leiden University (Netherlands).
Jan-Philipp Hasenberg is a Partner in the Automotive Competence Center in Hamburg, where he has since 2008 been advising automotive clients on marketing and sales strategies and the digitization of their value chains. His work focuses on innovative sales concepts, data-driven business models and sales structure optimization. Jan-Philipp Hasenberg studied at the University of Mannheim (Germany) and at Bocconi University in Milan (Italy). He also holds an MBA.
Matthias Holzamer is a Partner in the Restructuring and Corporate Finance Competence Center in Frankfurt. He focuses on restructuring, corporate finance, capital markets and private equity, advising clients on portfolio strategy, capital structure optimization, value-based management, performance improvement and risk management. In a second role, Matthias Holzamer works from Roland Berger’s Vienna office and supports Austrian banks, leasing firms and credit insurers facing national and international restructuring situations in Central and Eastern Europe. He studied international business administration in Munich, London and Paris and earned a Ph.D. from the Institute for Capital Markets and Corporate Finance at LMU Munich (Germany).
Sven Kleindienst is a Partner in Roland Berger’s Restructuring and Corporate Finance Competence Center in Munich. Focusing on investor support, he assists private equity and corporate clients in commercial due diligence work as well as on strategy and value creation projects. His experience specifically covers the automotive, mechanical engineering and MedTech industries. Before joining Roland Berger in 2011, Sven Kleindienst worked for other consulting firms in Munich, London, Paris and Los Angeles. He holds a Master of Science and the CEMS Master in International Management from the University of St. Gallen (Switzerland).
Partners promoted to Senior Partner
Damien Dujacquier is a Partner in the Singapore office, where he heads the Roland Berger telecommunications practice across Southeast Asia. He started working for Roland Berger in 2000, first in Europe and then in Southeast Asia from 2010 onward. He focuses on telecommunications, media, high tech and infrastructure. Damien Dujacquier advises operators, regulators and governments on innovation, corporate strategy, marketing and sales, digitization and performance improvement. Before joining Roland Berger, he was a marketing manager at Orange. Damien Dujacquier holds a Master of Science from Télécom Paris Tech in France.
Alexis Gardy is Managing Partner of Roland Berger in Canada. Based in Montreal since 2012, he advises clients from the service industries. Alexis Gardy is the global head of the tourism and leisure practice for Roland Berger and joined the Paris office in 2001, working with firms from the transportation and tourism sectors as well as investors. He has extensive consulting experience in designing corporate strategies, digital transformation and performance improvement programs for both large and mid-market companies. He graduated from ESCP Europe in Paris.
Dereck Ji joined Roland Berger in 2010 and leads the consultancy’s Public Services and Real Estate Competence Centers in Greater China. He has over 20 years of experience in consulting and industry, particularly in urban planning, regional economic development, sustainable tourism planning and real estate. Dereck Ji also advised state-owned enterprises in China. Prior to joining Roland Berger, he worked for another consulting firm and China’s state-owned corporations both in mainland China and Hong Kong. He holds a BA from the University of International Business & Economics in Beijing and an MBA from IMD Switzerland.
Serge Lhoste is a Partner based in Roland Berger’s Montreal office in Canada. An expert in strategy, due diligence and cost optimization, he mainly advises clients in the chemicals, metals & mining and engineered products industries. Prior to joining Roland Berger, Serge Lhoste worked at a leading American management consulting firm. He holds a Master of Engineering from École supérieure d’électricité (Supélec) in Paris and an MBA from the ESSEC Business School in Paris.
Andrea Marinoni is a Partner in the Restructuring and Corporate Finance Competence Center in Milan, where he also leads the automotive practice in the Italian market. He joined the company in 1997 and has been a Partner since 2012. He is an advisor to large and mid-market companies with expertise spanning a wide range of management issues particularly in corporate strategy, restructuring and special situations, organization and change management. He is active in the M&A space (including distressed situations) and is an advisor in corporate finance projects. He studied business at Bocconi University in Milan (Italy).
Thomas Schlick has been a Partner in the Automotive Competence Center in Frankfurt since 2010 and advises car manufacturers and suppliers on growth strategies, restructuring, efficiency enhancement, technology and innovation management. He was previously a director of the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA), where he was responsible for the dialog with German and European policymakers on technology and environmental issues. Thomas Schlick studied mechanical engineering at Technische Universität Darmstadt (Germany), where he earned his Ph.D. in 1993. Further, he spent 15 years with a global automotive supply firm.
Falco Weidemeyer is a Partner in the Restructuring and Corporate Finance Competence Center in Frankfurt. He previously worked for Roland Berger in 2001-2004 and came back onboard in 2013. In the intervening period he was CEO of a mid-market textiles company, which he successfully restructured. The focus of his consulting work lies on corporate performance and restructuring projects, particularly in the consumer goods and retail sector. Falco Weidemeyer studied business administration, English, French and Spanish at the European Business School (EBS) in Oestrich-Winkel (Germany), at San Diego State University (USA) and at Universidad Argentina de la Empresa in Buenos Aires (Argentina).
