Mutares expands Goods & Services segment with acquisition of Fuentes, a leading temperature-controlled logistics provider in Spain

(IN BRIEF) Mutares SE & Co. KGaA has acquired Lineage Spain Transportation S.L. “Fuentes” from Lineage Group, making it a new platform investment in the company’s Goods & Services segment. Based in Murcia, Spain, Fuentes specializes in temperature-controlled food transport, particularly for fruits and vegetables, and provides services across the full supply chain including last-mile logistics. The company operates facilities across Spain, an international hub in the Netherlands, and leverages both its own fleet and subcontractors to ensure flexibility. With around 850 employees, Fuentes expects to generate revenues of about EUR 200 million in 2025, strengthening Mutares’ footprint in the European logistics market.

(“Fuentes”) from Lineage Group, expanding its Goods & Services segment with a new platform investment. This move enhances Mutares’ presence in the logistics sector and strengthens its role in temperature-controlled food transportation across Europe.

Fuentes, headquartered in Las Torres de Cotillas (Murcia), is a leading provider of temperature-controlled logistics, specializing in the safe and compliant transport of fresh produce, particularly fruits and vegetables. The company’s operations span the entire food supply chain, covering national and international routes as well as last-mile delivery services. Its strategically located facilities near Spain’s agricultural heartland ensure close ties with major food manufacturers.

In addition to its Spanish sites, Fuentes operates an international hub in Vlissingen, the Netherlands, supporting cross-border logistics throughout Europe. The company runs a hybrid model that combines its own fleet with a network of subcontractors, enabling high flexibility and efficient service delivery. Employing approximately 850 people, Fuentes is forecasting revenues of around EUR 200 million in 2025.

Through this acquisition, Mutares adds a well-established logistics specialist to its portfolio, positioning itself to benefit from strong demand in temperature-controlled food supply chains and advancing the development of its Goods & Services segment.
