(PRESS RELEASE) LA DÉFENSE, 4-May-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — Thales has formalized two new Memorandums of Understanding with the Singapore Economic Development Board and Enterprise Singapore, reinforcing its long-term commitment to Singapore’s innovation ecosystem and strengthening ties with local startups operating in advanced technology sectors.

The agreements are designed to deepen collaboration between Thales and Singapore-based startups across key domains such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, quantum technologies, aerospace, space, and digital identity. Through these partnerships, startups will gain access to Thales’ global ecosystem, enabling mutual exchange of expertise and accelerating the development of innovative solutions.

Central to this initiative is Thales’ Trust My Tech (TMT) programme, a global startup acceleration platform that supports emerging companies in scaling their technologies and expanding internationally. As part of its collaboration with the Singapore Economic Development Board, TMT will be integrated into the Corporate Venture Launchpad, an initiative that connects corporates with startups to co-develop solutions and drive commercial success. This partnership will also involve Plug and Play Tech Centre, which will work alongside Thales and EDB to support startups participating in the one-year programme.

The programme will focus on a wide spectrum of deep-tech areas, including AI, cybersecurity, communications, fintech, sustainability, and emerging technologies such as quantum computing. Through mentorship, technical expertise, and collaboration opportunities, participating startups will be able to develop proof-of-concepts tailored to real-world challenges, enhancing their readiness for market deployment.

In parallel, Thales has established a collaboration with Enterprise Singapore under the Global Innovation Alliance (GIA), a network designed to help startups access international markets and innovation ecosystems. The agreement enables selected startups to work directly with Thales’ global business units to develop and validate solutions aligned with industry needs, while also benefiting from overseas exposure through learning expeditions and access to specialized facilities and expertise.

This collaboration aligns with Enterprise Singapore’s expanded GIA2030 initiative, which includes the “Grow” pathway aimed at supporting startups in scaling internationally, improving market penetration, and advancing technological maturity. By connecting startups to global opportunities, the partnership is expected to accelerate their growth and strengthen Singapore’s position as a hub for innovation.

Thales has maintained a presence in Singapore for more than five decades, evolving from its initial aerospace activities in 1973 into a major deep-tech player across sectors such as defence, cybersecurity, digital identity, and aeronautics. The company continues to invest in research and innovation, including the launch of its AI accelerator cortAIx in 2025, further expanding its technological capabilities in the region.

With these new agreements, Thales is reinforcing its role in fostering collaboration between established industry players and emerging startups, supporting the development of advanced technologies while contributing to Singapore’s broader ambitions in digital transformation and global competitiveness.

Thales is exhibiting at the Milipol TechX Summit from 28-30 April. To find out more about Thales in Singapore, please go to: Thales in Singapore | Thales Group.
