REWE Group Selects RISE with SAP to Modernize IT Infrastructure and Migrate to Cloud

(IN BRIEF) REWE Group has chosen SAP’s RISE with SAP to migrate its IT infrastructure to Google Cloud and modernize processes across finance, accounting, and human resources. The transition to SAP S/4HANA Cloud will enhance REWE Group’s scalability, operational efficiency, and digital transformation efforts, while reducing hardware and operating costs.

(PRESS RELEASE) WALLDORF , 30-Apr-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — SAP SE (NYSE: SAP) announced today that REWE Group, a leading German retailer with 16,000 food retail stores and travel agencies in 21 countries, has selected RISE with SAP for its digital transformation journey. The collaboration will enable REWE Group to modernize its IT infrastructure by migrating 73 SAP software systems to Google Cloud over the next few years, enhancing business processes in finance, accounting, and human resources.

REWE Group’s IT unit, REWE digital, will utilize SAP S/4HANA Cloud to improve its scalability, efficiency, and adaptability to business needs in real-time. This transition will harmonize IT processes, helping REWE Group standardize its technical operating models and streamline its business operations across retail and tourism sectors.
