(PRESS RELEASE) BERLIN, 5-Nov-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — At SAP TechEd 2025 in Berlin, SAP SE (NYSE: SAP) unveiled a series of major innovations designed to bring artificial intelligence deeper into the software development process, enabling developers to move from concept to execution faster than ever before. Through advancements in AI agents, data connectivity, and platform integration, SAP is redefining how enterprise developers build intelligent applications and automate workflows to achieve tangible business outcomes.

The announcements include enhanced capabilities within SAP Build, new partnerships such as the collaboration with Snowflake, and the introduction of SAP’s first enterprise relational foundation model, SAP-RPT-1. These updates are aimed at giving developers the autonomy and intelligence needed to turn data and AI into measurable impact, while SAP continues its global commitment to train 12 million people in AI-ready skills by 2030.

Muhammad Alam, Member of the Executive Board of SAP SE, emphasized that SAP’s latest developments put “developers in the driver’s seat — where they belong,” highlighting the company’s focus on empowering the developer community with tools designed for the era of AI-driven innovation.

Expanding Developer Freedom through SAP Build
SAP Build now offers developers more flexibility to use their preferred tools, such as Cursor, Claude Code, Cline, and Windsurf, through new local Model Context Protocol Servers. Visual Studio Code users can also directly access SAP Build via a new extension that will soon be available on Open VSX Registry for broader compatibility. Additionally, a planned integration between SAP’s Joule Studio agents and n8n agents will allow developers to build and extend AI agents that autonomously adapt to changing business contexts.

Leveraging Data through the SAP Business Data Cloud
With the new SAP Snowflake solution extension, SAP Business Data Cloud now integrates seamlessly with Snowflake’s data and AI capabilities, enabling developers to choose optimal compute and storage resources while maintaining full governance and business context. This partnership complements SAP’s existing collaborations with Databricks and Google Cloud, expanding developers’ choices in managing enterprise data. A new data product studio capability further allows teams to convert raw data into structured, reusable assets that fuel analytics and AI-driven development.

Additionally, enhancements to the SAP HANA Cloud knowledge graph engine enable automated generation of knowledge graphs, offering developers deep insights into how their data interconnects and supporting the discovery of new business insights.

Redefining AI with SAP-RPT-1 and Intelligent Agents
SAP introduced SAP-RPT-1, a first-generation Relational Pre-trained Transformer (RPT) — a foundation model designed to predict business outcomes such as delivery delays or payment risks. This model marks a significant step toward AI that interprets and acts on relational business data rather than just generating language. A free developer playground for experimentation is now available.

Moreover, new AI assistants in Joule can now coordinate multiple agents across workflows, enabling seamless automation across finance, HR, supply chain, and other departments. These intelligent assistants plan and execute complex tasks, while new agents built for technical users can analyze business processes, identify inefficiencies, and suggest improvements.

SAP’s global AI-skilling initiative — which aims to train 12 million people by 2030 through expanded certification programs and partnerships like Coursera — underscores the company’s long-term vision to prepare the workforce for a future where AI and human expertise work hand in hand.
